Seattle Seahawks 2024 NFL Draft Grades
Round 1, Pick 5: Illinois CB Devon Witherspoon
Grade: A+
Witherspoon is a ball-hawking cornerback with excellent instincts and athleticism. He had 6 interceptions and 15 pass breakups in his final season at Illinois. He is a perfect fit for the Seahawks' Cover 3 scheme and should be a starter from day one.
Round 1, Pick 20: Ohio State WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba
Grade: A
Smith-Njigba is a dynamic receiver who can line up anywhere on the field. He is a great route runner with excellent hands and body control. He should be a great complement to DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett and give the Seahawks a much-needed third receiver.
Round 2, Pick 38: Auburn Edge Derick Hall
Grade: B+
Hall is a versatile edge rusher who can play both outside and inside linebacker. He is a good athlete with a good first step and a variety of pass-rush moves. He should be a good rotational player for the Seahawks and could develop into a starter in the future.
Overall Grade: A
The Seahawks had a solid first day of the 2024 NFL Draft. They added three players who should be able to contribute immediately. Witherspoon and Smith-Njigba should be starters from day one, and Hall should be a good rotational player. The Seahawks still have some needs to address, but they are off to a good start.
