Dallas Cowboys sign WR Martavis Bryant
Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver gets second chance in the NFL
Bryant was suspended indefinitely by the NFL in 2018 for drug use, but was reinstated in late 2023.
The Dallas Cowboys have agreed to terms with veteran wide receiver Martavis Bryant, the team announced on Tuesday.
Bryant, 29, played college football at Clemson and was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He spent four seasons with the Steelers, catching 141 passes for 1,946 yards and 17 touchdowns.
In 2018, Bryant was suspended indefinitely by the NFL for violating the league's substance-abuse policy. He was reinstated in late 2023 and signed with the Washington Commanders.
Bryant is a talented wide receiver with a lot of potential, but he has also had some off-field issues. The Cowboys are hoping that he can stay on the field and contribute to the team's success.
