Cindric to pilot No. 2 car for Team Penske
Austin Cindric, the 2022 DAYTONA 500 champion, will begin his third NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) season in 2024 behind the wheel of the No. 2 car at Sonoma Raceway. Cindric made history in 2022 by becoming the first rookie to win the Daytona 500 since Trevor Bayne in 2011.
Cindric has proven to be a formidable competitor in the NCS, earning three wins and 10 top-five finishes in his first two seasons. He finished 12th in the championship standings in 2022 and 10th in 2023.
The 2024 season will be Cindric's first with Team Penske. He previously drove for Team Penske in the Xfinity Series, winning the championship in 2021. Cindric will be replacing Brad Keselowski in the No. 2 car, who left Team Penske at the end of the 2023 season.
Cindric is excited to join Team Penske and race alongside Joey Logano and Ryan Blaney. He believes that the team has the potential to compete for the championship.
